all our jewelry is solid gold of the karat level indicated in the product description (ex. 14k, 18k, 10k)! we do not sell gold-plated jewelry and test each piece to ensure they are solid gold and to ensure karat level. 

the karat level indicates the purity of the gold in the piece, and is expressed as a ratio of gold to other alloys mixed into the gold to strengthen it. pure gold, which is not often used in jewelry because very soft and easily damaged, is 24k. 14k (which is the most common in the U.S.) is 14 parts gold to 10 parts other metals, making up a total of 24 parts. the purity level is also sometimes conveyed as a percentage (ex. 375, 585, 750).

vintage refers to pieces that are more recent (~20 years old or older), while antique refers to pieces that are 100 years old or more. we carefully inspect and research our jewelry to determine whether it is vintage or antique. some of the ways that we determine jewelry age is by examining hallmarks/maker's marks and analyzing design elements or techniques of a piece that may be particular to a certain time period. vintage and antique pieces can have imperfections or scratches from being owned and worn before. we do our best to document and make clear any imperfections in our photos and listings, and please ask questions before purchasing if there's anything you are unsure about! all measurements are approximate, and all of our pieces are thoroughly cleaned before being sent out to customers.

our items are usually ready to ship within in 1-3 business days after the order has been placed. domestic orders (within the U.S.) are generally delivered within 7-10 busienss days, but shipping times may vary from one courier to another.

keep your jewelry away from harsh chemicals and excessive heat. in between wears, store in a box or pouch with some padding to protect your pieces. for most pieces, we recommend cleaning at least every month. simply use warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush to remove dirt, and rinse in a bowl of water afterwards. some gems may be more fragile and require special care-- we recommend going to a local jeweler for cleaning for jewelry with stones such as opals, pearls, tanzanites, emeralds, turquoise, and any other stones that are more fragile. for further. for further care instructions please refer to our jewelry care guide

you have 3 business days (from when item is received) to request a return. to be eligible for a return, item(s) must be in the same condition as they were when received, unworn or unused, and in their original packaging. refunds will only be issued after the item(s) has been returned to us and has passed inspection. to start a return, please contact us. if your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. we strongly recommend that customers add insurance to return packages to avoid liability for potential losses or damages that may occur during transit (please contact your local post office review insurance options). to see our full return policy, please refer to the "returns & refunds" section on our website.
